Surprise stock of Nobels / Boss pedalsJune 29th, 2008 |
A viewer in France has notified me that he’s come into a somewhat limited supply of Nobels ODR-S pedals, the one I use as my main distortion / overdrive. He’s also got a pair of the coveted Boss PQ-4 / PQ-3B pedals that I’m so fond of. I have nothing to do with the sale of these pedals, but I know that a lot of people have scoured ebay and craigslist for them to no avail, so I thought I’d post a message here about it. Please contact him directly if you are interested in buying, and please understand that I hold no responsibility for your buying experience, I am simply passing along a message. Please use your best judgment whenever buy things online.
Also please note that I have no intention of making this kind of thing a regular feature, but due to the number of requests I get about these pedals, I am making an exception in hopes that someone will find what they’ve been looking for. ![]()

Since it is so hard to find the older pedals, do you know if the same control/effects that you get with the parametric EQ pedals can be accomplished with the current Boss EQ pedals (GEB-7 Bass EQ 50Hz to 10kHz and the GE-7 EQ 100Hz to 6.4 kHz)?

I just stumbled upon your youtube videos tonight, and spent the past 6 hours watching every single one of your box videos. I spent the first 5 years of my guitar playing only in the 1st and 2nd box… THATS IT! I knew there had to be more, but everytime i would search, no one would answer my questions how i needed; like you did! It’s 4:37am and I just finished watching the last video on box 5… and holy crap. Thank you so much.

Hi Robert,
I remember the day when I broke out of box 2 and was like “Wow, there’s more to this!” so I know what you’re feeling and it sure is good

Whoa! The price of admission is more then some good used boutique amps! But they come in original boxes. I am fortunate that I have the setup now. i was able to find the 2 Boss pedals, one locally, and a new odr-s still in the box at an Oregon music store for $59. I just picked up a Blues Junior with most of the BillM mods last Wednesday. I was using a Reissue Vibroverb with the Torres full Texan mods, but that was way to much amp. There is a guy here in Seattle that can get in there and do those mods really quick. It has the original speaker, but sounds great.
Best Regards,
Steve

Hi Steve,
Does your Oregon music store have any more odr-s pedals? Can you give me their contact info?
Steve Gill reply on July 1st, 2008:
Sorry, last one.
