21 Free Songs From My Past 10 Years
AnthonyFor the past 15 months I’ve been spending the majority of my free time making lessons, teaching you all what I’ve been able to learn of this style of music. I’ve spent very little time talking about my years writing songs, and playing in bands because there’s not much to say that would impress anyone.
For this reason, I just never really talked about it much and focused on trying to make great lessons. However I was thinking the other day about how I’m here teaching these lessons, encouraging people to express what they feel through their playing, but yet I’m too embarassed to show them how I did that very thing myself.
I want all of you to build up the confidence to play at blues jams, start bands, play shows, and hopefully even write songs. But it’s a little hypocritical for me to do that, if I’m not even willing to share with you my own limited experience with those very things.
So today, I’m posting 21 free songs that were recorded over the past decade in various bands I started. None of these bands made it past playing small bars and festivals, but throughout it all, I played my heart out and did my best to express myself through my playing.
I guess the reason I’m posting these songs is to give all of you a glimpse of how I applied everything I teach here. Hopefully it will provide some with a reference point for their own learning, and maybe even some entertainment, and at worst, a chuckle at my attempts to be a much better singer than I was
