  1. So tell me about these DVDs?

These DVDs are professionally created on-demand (when you order) by CreateSpace, a part of Amazon.com. They are high-quality DVD-R discs, professionally printed and packaged. The DVD masters have been tested in a variety of DVD players to ensure compatibility.

  2. How are the DVDs different than the HD Download lessons?

Whatever lessons are on a particular DVD are exactly the same as the corresponding HD lessons for sale in the lesson download store.

  3. Do I get tablature for the lessons that I buy on DVD?

Not every lesson includes tablature, but for those that do, the tablature files are for sale in the lesson download store.

  4. Is there any advantage to buying the DVDs instead of buying the HD Video Downloads?

Only if you prefer to watch the lessons on your TV instead of on your computer. Also, some people prefer to have a physical copy of what they’ve purchased?

  5. Are the DVD’s high-definition?

No. These DVDs are standard DVD quality. However, BlueRay DVD lessons will be available as soon as my distributor supports this option.

  6. Are the DVDs region-protected?

No. They are high-quality DVD-Rs which are professionaly silkscreened and burned and will play anywhere in the world. However, the video format is NTSC, which is the official video standard in the United States. Non-US viewers should make sure that their computer or DVD player can play NTSC DVDs.

  7. Are the DVDs copy-protected?

No. And they never will be.

  8. What if I want to return a DVD?

Since I don’t actually sell the DVDs, CreateSpace handles all returns. The page describing the Returns process is here:
    http://www.createspace.com/Customer/ReturnPolicy.jsp

  9. Should I buy both the downloadable lesson and DVDs?

This is entirely up to you. Downloadable lessons will always be available a few weeks before the DVD version because I can record and distribute them in days instead of weeks. But if you want the convenience of getting the lessons as soon as they’re available by download, but the reliability of a DVD version that you can play on your TV, I’d be glad to sell you both :)

  10. Why do the DVDs cost more than the download lessons?

DVDs cost a lot of money to produce, so the cost of the DVD includes what it costs to print and package the DVD.

  11. Can I buy these DVDs if I’m not from the USA?

CreateSpace sells and ships globally. They have more information here:
