Like every other video training from StevieSnacks, they have an enormous quality of effort in them. I think there is no easier way to learn blues improvisation. I did not regret the purchase. Highly recommended!!

Within about 2 weeks I was 143% better at playing the blues. Anthony’s approach to training is…well, approachable. Instant success with a little practice, easy to understand and see the end goal without having to deal with weird lingo and the fear of having to do ALL the exercises that don’t sound like music.

  • Albert’s Influence

Buying the Albert’s Influence series was the best thing I’ve ever done to lift my guitar playing to the next level. The licks I’ve learned sound absolutely awesome! I’ve used them in many of my own solo’s during recordings and gigs, and I’ve received many compliments. The way Anthony teaches is second to none. The tabs plus slow motion is just too easy to follow. Highly recommended.

This one is it. I uploaded a video which demonstrates my playing. While it’s not that great, for me its really, really great and I could not play at all this well before this video. I have also learned more from Anthony than any other guitar teacher in my life. Thanks!

Got it on DVD. Very good explanation on how they all tie together and the print out for each key is great when you are soloing to a backing track. You just open the page to the key you are playing in and it really helps you see the entire fretboard to move in and out of boxes rather than have to work your way up and down. Great product.

  • 5 Boxes Essential Licks

I own it on dvd. Great riffs. Short, very basic variations of riffs and Anthony shows how they all tie together to build long solos. Great print out with large print. Great product.

  • SRV Style Solo Matrix

I have this on DVD and it’s a great product. I’ve gotten so many licks out of this one. The print is large and easy to read but this one really shows the 2 and 3 note bends that you always wondered…”how’d they do that…” By the time you get to the advanced solos on this one you really get to understand that it’s more than just notes. This is not shredders music. It’s all about the timing in the blues. I go back to it a lot and still can’t get the timing just right but I know what I’m trying to do and the timing graph really helps. Great product.

These lessons really helped me with my soloing. Very detailed and thorough. I am forever grateful for having stumbled upon Anthony and StevieSnacks.com on YouTube. I will definitely be getting more lessons in the future. I have been a SRV fan and disciple since I started playing in 1989. (Even have a tattoo of SRV in the middle of my back) I have not found a better, more detailed and explanatory teacher of Stevie’s music and style than Anthony. Thank you, sir! You are a blessing to Stevie fans!

Anthony - thanks for an AWESOME way of teaching guitar. Your lessons have really made a difference in my learning and playing SRV. I did not think I was ever going to able to fully learn and understand the style of SRV, or even find someone willing to give the needed details to learn SRV. The camera angle in the lessons is a great way to teach. You have so much material for me to learn. I can’t wait to get more lessons from you. Great Job!

This was designed for me. My ability to “Hang” with other blues players completely doubled. I immediately started looking at other lessons. Love this.

I have actually played Texas Flood live because of this. That song was always beyond my reach, but not anymore.

  • Essential Theory

Great and concise package about the must-know basics in music foundations. Nothing less and nothing heavy. Everything is well explained, pictured and even fun.

  • Essential Fretboard

If you’re tired of seeing your fretboard as a non-landmarks freeway without any logic, pick this one. You’ll be able to fasten you’re later learnings with all the shortcuts that it will give you. And I mean good shortcuts.

  • 5 Essential Blues Boxes

Even if you’re not only interested in blues, you have to know about the 5 Essential Blues Boxes. They are directly linked with the pentatonic scale, but in an immediate effective way to make them sound musically. You will also understand what gives Stevie or Albert King their particular sound in their licks.

  • SRV Style Solo Matrix

Well-designed and technical solos, for three difficulty levels, with lot of intensity and style, composed, played and taught by Anthony, in the style of SRV. This is in my sense the ultimate achievement of this bunch of lessons and of this website. You’re a Stevie/Hendrix/Clapton/Mayer/Shepherd fan and you want to play in their vein? Pick this and work everything that’s inside. This is so good!

  • Essential Techniques Bundle

If you want to play that punchy style of playing, those chords Stevie and Jimi are using, those tearing sounds with rakes, mutes and more…you have to practice the Grip Style for Fretting hand on guitar. And the lesson is perfectly designed and detailed. You CAN’T play in the style of Stevie without this. This is a fact!

  • Essential Theory

I have been playing over 40 years and I always try and learn something new from everyone-anyone I can. I purchased Essential Theory and even with my extensive background and skill, I learned some new information that I was able to apply and some information that cleared up some confusion. Anthony’s style is perfect for both beginners and advanced players.

  • 5 Essential Blues Boxes

Five Essential Blues Boxes allows you to easily understand the Pentatonic scales and how they interact with each other and allows you to master the full fretboard a lot quicker than the methods taught back in the 1960’s when I started. Great job.

  • Essential Theory

Supposedly, when Vince Lombardi took over the struggling Green Bay Packers, he told the players at the first team meeting, that they would start from the beginning and re-learn everything together. His first line to them, as he held up a football was, “Gentlemen, this is a football”. Maybe that’s true, maybe it’s not (although it should be!). Either way, “Essential Theory” is to music as much as “this is a football” is to football. This lesson should be taught in every Grammar school in the country. It’s THAT good. Honestly, this lesson was a real eye opener. Highest rating! Four thumbs-up, way up! Buy it. NOW!

  • Essential Theory

This is great for beginners. I have to admit, I purchased this and was already pretty familiar with the theory. Anthony does touch on some crucial movable chords that everyone should know. In particular the movable “A” form chord. I had always played it, just never really added the 3rd in the bass like he does. This is key for capturing some of that Hendrix vibe.

  • 5 Essential Blues Boxes

This is a must have for any aspiring Blues guitarist. This took my Blues playing to the next level instantly. For years I had been stuck in the Minor Pentatonic patterns. The Blues Boxes will break you out of this and allow you to play those sweet major licks.

  • 5 Boxes Essential Licks

This is another must have. Probably the single most important thing I took from this was the ability to say “The”. The classic 4-5-1 rake on the top strings is like saying “the” in the guitar world. I began incorporating this rake lick in all my stuff, all over the fret board. It instantly adds raw power and speed to your playing. It is the secret to ripping through those insanely fast SRV licks

  • Albert’s Influence

Great lesson. A very insightful approach to capturing that Albert sound. Keep the superglue nearby…your fingertips may need it.

Frikkin’ awesome SRV Lessons! If you want to immerse yourself in Stevie’s playing this is the only place you need to go. After watching StevieSnacks, I watched a few other people attempt lessons only to find out they either went too fast or missed out on some important parts altogether, which Steviesnacks doesn’t make the mistake of doing. Other people sometimes ‘blow through’ things so that you have to rewind endless times to see what is going on. Great lessons… looking forward to lots more!

  • Essential Fretboard

This is an excellent course. Anthony provides a nice view of chord relationships and a somewhat different perspective of the typical pentatonic boxes. He also adds in some of his personal fretboard favorites. Throughout the lessons he uses the same types of colored fretboard markers that are used throughout other lessons. Highly recommended for players at any level.

  • 5 Boxes Essential Licks

Tons of SRV-style licks in all five pentatonic box areas. Anthony also includes a large set of “building block” licks that can be used in various combinations to extend basic licks. Lots of great stuff here.

  • Simple 12-Bar Rhythm

From basic shuffles to more complex “tore down” style rhythms. Very accessible to players at all levels.

  • SRV Style Solo Matrix

I have purchased the intermediate level lessons for the Sweet Little Thang and Texas Floods. Anthony does each lick of the multiple chorus solo’s both in slow motion and regular speed and then note by note. These are the types of lessons that will really have you playing with more of that Texas feel.

  • Albert’s Influence

Listening to Albert King was one of the reasons why I always wanted to play guitar. Trying to learn his work from note by note transcriptions is nearly impossible given he used very odd tunings. Anthony does a great job and working you through a great number of classic Albert licks using more of the SRV-adopted fingerings and positions. Anthony’s playing and instruction are fantastic (as always), and with his help I may be getting closer to sounding like Albert.

  • B.B.‘s Influence

You have to give Anthony extra praise for this one. Normally a Texas blues person, he does an amazing job at teaching the essentials of the B.B. style. Absolutely sweet major/minor riffs that are pieced together in very B.B. like phrasing. This is another must have lesson from Anthony.
